The Problem
Through user research, we identified challenges in meal kit services such as budget constraints, dietary needs, time management, and navigation issues. As a UX designer, I developed a solution with AI-driven personalized meal plans, step-by-step instructions, and customizable ingredient options. We also addressed sustainability with eco-friendly packaging, creating a more convenient and tailored meal-planning experience for users.
The Goal
-
By providing quick and easy-to-follow meal planning and preparation.
-
Using AI to cater to dietary needs, preferences, and past orders.
-
Through ingredient swaps, portion adjustments, and flexible options.
-
While maintaining quality and variety in meal offerings.
My Design Process
I conducted a competitive analysis, gathered survey responses from 30 individuals, from 2 surveys and interviewed 7 people with experience using online meal kit delivery services. This research helped me understand users' needs, behaviors, and motivations, providing insights into designing better solutions that address their challenges and enhance their meal-planning experience.
My research identified five (5) pain points:
Budget constraints
Dietary needs and preferences
Lack of inspiration
Convenience and time management
Portion sizes and caloric intake
User preferences and behaviors:
AI Integration
Customization features
Recipe recommendations and instructions
Nutritional Tracking
User reviews and ratings
Opportunities for Improvement:
Enhanced AI Personalization
Affordable and Customizable Options
User-Friendly Navigation and Features
